Which NASCAR Team Does Pitbull Own?
Recently, NASCAR announced global music icon Christian Armando Perez, better known as Pitbull, as a headliner in the opening race of the 2022 season. Pitbull will perform ahead of the race at the LA Coliseum.
But Pitbull’s connection with NASCAR isn’t simply as a performer. This is because he is also an owner of one team.
In January 2021, Pitbull was announced as a partner in Trackhouse Racing team. The music icon spoke of his association in the team release as he said, “As soon as I met Justin, (team president) Ty Norris and Daniel, we were on the same page.”
“They welcomed me aboard, and now we’re going to show the world NASCAR is not only a sport but it’s a culture.”

Co-owner Justin Marks had also described Pitbull coming on board as a massive step to appeal to a larger audience. He had said, “I am proud that in just a few months we are here announcing a partnership with one of the most influential and recognized artists in the world.
“Through NASCAR and our partnership with Pitbull, we are going to have the attention of a global demographic that is ready to be inspired into action for themselves, their families and their future.”
Pitbull sees parallels between NASCAR and music
‘Mr. Worldwide’, who has fans all over the world, is probably one of the biggest advocates for the power of music. According to him, music doesn’t conform itself to languages or cultures or any of the barriers.
So, it’s interesting when Pitbull compared stock car racing with music. He said, “In the same way that music is a universal language, I also see NASCAR as a universal language.” He added, “Everybody loves a fast car and a great story.”
“This is deeper than sponsorships; this is a movement.”
