The all-time three-pointer record of Ray Allen could be challenged by Stephen Curry in the near future. At this point, he needs seven three-pointers to win the title. It’s interesting to note that Allen made 2973 points in his career while Curry made 2,967 till now.

Andre Iguodala was asked about Curry’s breakneck pace as he mentioned that people were eager to monetize that record instead of making him enjoy this moment.

Stephen Curry’s record has led to people losing sight of the basics, points out Iguodala

Aside from the record, no NBA player has reached 3,000 career three-pointers. He needs 33 more to reach that mark. In reference to Curry’s performance and how important this is to him, Andre Iguodala had some insightful thoughts on Steph Curry’s outlook towards the game and brought Michael Jordan into the mix to elucidate his point.

“I don’t know I think he wants to win the game first, like I said you know we could tryna make in more about the moment, but when you look at the greats or the greatest you look at the guy like Michael Jordan he wasn’t trying to chase something except winning“

Later, he explained Jordan’s perspective in terms of the game by saying that in Jordan’s view, he was focused on winning the small ring and achieving his goals. as he said: “he was like I am gonna chase as many wins as I can and chase as many rings and then he knew that I am better than everybody else, he put it the work ethic and everything else was gonna happen the way it was supposed to“

Afterward, he discussed Stephen’s journey and how it led to this record, stating that: “I think he is been having that approach like he is upset that we lost more, so he didn’t make the 10 threes, and I think that’s, you know that goes back into the narratives we are tryna building, monetizing our moment, outside of winning” 

To achieve such a high record, one must begin with the basics as he went on to say that because of this, people are not concentrating on the steps to take in order to reach this position.
