Golden Globes 2022: Adam Driver, Jennifer Hudson and Meryl Streep lead snubs as nominations announced

Adam Driver, Jennifer Hudson and Meryl Streep have led the snubs for the Golden Globes 2022 – and fans are seriously not happy.

The nominations for the upcoming ceremony, which is taking place on January 9, 2022, were announced earlier today, with Snoop Dogg on hand to reveal the names.

Side note: Snoop deserves his own nomination for his appearance.

However, there were some names left off the list in the acting categories, and viewers are up in arms over the news.

While Lady Gaga earned a best actress tip for her stint as Patrizia Reggiani in House of Gucci, her co-stars – including Adam (Maurizio Gucci) and Jared Leto (Paolo Gucci) – didn’t make the cut.

Ridley Scott was also not mentioned in the best director category, with the Bad Romance singer the only cast member landing a nod.

Some were left furious when Adam was also ignored for his work in Annette, and flocked to Twitter to discuss the news.

‘You ABSOLUTE cowards, how dare you??? Adam Driver deserves EVERYTHING for this, shame on you #GoldenGlobes,’ one yelled.

‘Dear #GoldenGlobes YOU HAVE NO TASTE. #AdamDriver did that peace of ART and you say nothing. WHAT’S YOUR F**KING PROBLEM?! [sic],’ another questioned.

‘ADAM DRIVER GOT NO GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINATIONS AFTER HE WORKED HIS ASS OFF THIS YEAR???? RATS REVOLT AT DAWN. #GoldenGlobes,’ a follower said.

‘So they just gonna rob Adam Driver like that? #GoldenGlobes,’ a Twitter user fumed.

Meryl Streep was also left off the list for Don’t Look Up, despite castmates Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence being nominated for best actor and best actress.

While fans were unhappy that Jennifer Hudson, who stole the show in Respect, failed to get a mention in an acting category, and was instead recognised for best song.

Wait, no #GoldenGlobes nomination for Jared Leto and Adam Driver for #HouseOfGucci? Are you kidding me???

How are you gonna sit there and tell me that none of the actors in the @RespectMovie deserved a Golden Globes nomination?! The only nomination is for a SONG? C’mon now. That was a brilliant movie, and @IAMJHUD and @MarlonWayans deserve recognition! #GoldenGlobes pic.twitter.com/fe8rPlFacV
