Frankie Bridge has revealed she had a couple of ‘secret messages’ to communicate with her children and Loose Women co-stars during her time on I’m A Celebrity.

The Saturdays star – who has sons Parker, seven, and Carter, five, with husband Wayne – was cut off from her loved ones during her time in Gwrych Castle but she came up with a subtle system to stay in touch.

Appearing on Monday’s episode of Loose Women, she said: ‘I’m so happy to see you girls! Did you get my message?’

Co-stars Charlene White, Linda Robson, Colleen Nolan and Penny Lancaster all started shuffling their shoulders, revealing the secret signal but admitting they thought she’d ‘forgotten’ them.

‘I didn’t forget, but I had to share the love! I had to shares the love with the kids, guys. It’s not all about you,’ she teased, and later revealed the message she had for her sons.

‘My youngest, Carter, I was like, “Can I just blow a kiss,” or something a bit more subtle. He decided that my signal for them was this, [blows out cheeks].

‘So, I did try and do both a couple of times, but I started worrying that people would think I was starting to lose the plot a bit. I had to pick one or the other.’

Frankie – who finished third on the show while Danny Miller won with Simon Gregson ending as runner-up – also admitted her husband Wayne inadvertently got her through her horrifying snake trial during Sunday’s final as he recalled him singing Three Little Birds by Bob Marley.

‘Someone who’s claustrophobic, even before the snakes were in there – so Wayne is always singing a song, “Every little thing is gonna be alright”. So that was just going through my head, it reminded me of the boys, it made me feel calm,’ she said.

‘And then Sweet Caroline popped in my head at some point for some unknown reason! I don’t know what annoys snakes – I was too scared to scream, I didn’t know whether to move, so I just thought, “Stay still and calm, and they might be my friend.” ‘

And Frankie dished the dirt on her row with producer and DJ Naughty Boy over how to cook rice, but insisted they were back on good terms ’10 minutes later’.

‘You know what? it was fine. I think we were really lucky, everyone genuinely got on really well. And we fell into this weird dysfunctional family role really quickly,’ she explained.

‘But this rice-gate – which I think generally happens every year on the show. I hate confrontations so I was trying to explain to Naughty that the whole rice pudding thing, we’re not saying it’s rice pudding, this is just how we have done it previously.

‘Most of the food, we don’t know the names. So we’d be like, “Oh that bird’s chicken, it’s a chicken leg, blah blah blah”. But he didn’t let me finish, so it ended up being a slight confrontation. But 10 minutes later, it was absolutely fine!’

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
