Stefanos Tsitsipas Gives Crucial Update on Shoulder Injury and His Return Ahead of Australian Open 2022

Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas has been one of the most exceptional players on the Tour. He registered one of his successful seasons this year. Sadly, all did not end well for the World No. 4 player as he did not perform exceedingly well towards the latter stages.

Stefanos Tsitsipas suffered an elbow injury in the course of the season. In fact, he withdrew from the ATP Finals 2021 due to this. However, he has provided a positive update and stated that his elbow is in a much better condition than it was some time ago.

On his latest development, Tsitsipas stated, “My elbow is fantastic. I am sure I will be 100% back. The goal is definitely to go even higher. I hope the preparation goes well and that the new year will be three times better than this season.”

He continued, “I’ve never retired in a match—it was very painful for me to let the crowd down and not play that match. Overall I’m happy with where I stand and I think I’m going to have to take an extra step and try and aim for even higher next year.”
