Succession season 3: Fans spot major clue to ultimate betrayal in promo poster
A huge and blatant clue (Picture: HBO)
Warning: Spoilers for Succession season 3 ahead.
The Succession season 3 finale aired the biggest betrayal of the drama so far, with many viewers still aghast at the events of the closing scene. But the eagle-eyed among us have spotted there was a glaring clue staring right at us all along.
The outrageous HBO series concluded its latest chapter with Shiv (Sarah Snook), Kendall (Jeremy Strong) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) attempting to stage a coup to prevent their father Logan (Brian Cox) from selling Waystar Royco to GoJo and leaving with them with nothing.
Before marching in to seize the company from their dad, the trio realised to stop the deal they could use their power of supermajority, a deal outlined in their mother Caroline’s divorce.
However, the Roy children’s mastermind plan didn’t exactly go to plan as it was soon revealed that their mum had renegotiated her divorce agreement to omit the supermajority. In their words, ‘mum f*cked us’.
‘You should have trusted me,’ Logan then roars. ‘I f*cking win. Go on, f*ck off you nosy f*cking pedestrians.’

And to make the betrayal even worse, Logan exited the room where he spotted Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) and gave him a pat on the shoulder, implying that Tom was the one to upsell his wife Shiv and the rest of his in-laws.
Oh, and let’s not forget how Tom asked Greg (Nicholas Braun) if he wanted ‘a deal with the devil?’
Many viewers have spotted that one of the posters for Succession season three foreshadowed a huge divide, with a visible line pitting Kendall, Roman, Shiv, and Connor (Alan Ruck) on one side, with Logan, Tom and Greg on the other.
‘Right under our noses since the first promo poster,’ one fan pointed out as they shared the promotional photo.
‘That poster foreshadowed A LOT,’ another added.
Did you spot the Easter egg?
While Succession may be over for now, let’s not forget that season four has already been ordered.

The show is also up for best drama at the upcoming Golden Globes, with Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook all up for awards too.
