WWE Legend Marries a McMahon in Surprise Wedding at 65

There are surprise birthday parties, but what about a surprise wedding? It seems Diamond Dallas Page has brought a new trend to town, and it’s brilliant!

The WWE Hall of Famer surprised his longtime girlfriend, Payge McMahon, with a wedding on December 9th, 2021. He pulled it off with the help of his daughter, Brit Page, and possibly created a wedding that no one has thought of before.

Diamond Dallas Page rented an entire boutique hotel in Chattanooga and created the impression that they were invited to a friend’s Christmas Party. Little did Payge McMahon know this party was about to change her life!

The WWE Hall of Famer invited 115 of their closest friends, and married Payge McMahon in a luxury yet fairytale wedding.

It’s a long road filled with happiness and laughter for Mr. and Mrs. Dallas!

Diamond Dallas Page was one of the few who shifted to WWE from WCW

When Vince McMahon purchased WCW, only a handful of pro-wrestlers accepted the buyout to immediately join The Big Man’s WWE.

Diamond Dallas Page came over to WWE on June 18th, 2001 where he revealed himself as The Undertaker’s wife’s (Sara) stalker. The idea was to show him as the biggest dog in the yard, but with the WWE Superstars already around, this wasn’t quite possible.

His feud with The Undertaker went on for quite a while. It ended when The Brothers of Destruction defeated Dallas Page and Kanyon in a tag team match in 2011. After staying out of WWE for a while because of an injury, he lost a match against Big Show upon return. Following that, Team WWE defeated The Alliance, and all members of WCW lost their jobs (kayfabe).

He returned to WWE as a babyface in 2002. But, his run did not last long. During a match against Hardcore Holly, he suffered a serious neck injury because of a botched Superplex. He announced his retirement from WWE in 2002.

However, Diamond Dallas Page returned to wrestling in 2004 but worked in the independent scene. He made some appearances in WWE from 2010 onwards.

Page entered the Royal Rumble match in 2015 as a surprise entrant. Next, he participated in the Andre The Giant Memorial Match at WrestleMania 32.

WWE inducted him into the Hall of Fame in 2017.
