Conservative campaigner Darren Grimes is the latest addition to GB News, just days after Eamonn Holmes also announced his move to the channel.
GB News has struggled to make its mark after the loss of core figures such as Andrew Neil and Simon McCoy.
But it seems the channel is using 2022 to fight back, after adding Holmes and Grimes to their list of presenters.
It was confirmed on Tuesday morning Grimes is set to present a weekend show called Real Britain with Darren Grimes.
The 28-year-old Brexit activist has regularly appeared as a guest on GB News in recent months so it’s not much of a surprise to see his name added to the billing.
The channel’s official Twitter account revealed the news, writing: ’Announcing the latest addition to our exciting 2022 line up.
‘Broadcaster and political commentator @darrengrimes_ will host a new show on GB News, Real Britain with Darren Grimes, at 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays from next month. Welcome, Darren!’
Just days earlier, ex-This Morning host Holmes revealed his move to GB News, by saying in a statement: ‘I’ve spent my career on broadcasting firsts and start-ups, and GB News is one of the most exciting yet.
Grimes founded the pro-Brexit campaign named BeLeave in 2016, but was fined £20,000 by the Electoral Commission in 2018.
They said there was evidence that the campaign group spent more than £675,000 with a political consultancy company, in co-ordination with Vote Leave, across social media advertising.
However, Grimes later won his appeal against the decision and his fine was overturned.
He’s also been involved with other conservative groups such as Turning Point UK and launched media site called Reason back in 2018.
‘It’s just the kind of shake-up the industry needs.’
Holmes will be co-hosting a new breakfast programme in the new year, which he’ll present alongside Isabel Webster.
However, it was reported on Friday evening – just hours after Holmes’ good news – that presenter McCoy had left his role.

GB News confirmed to Metro.co.uk last week that Simon has left the channel for ‘personal reasons’, with a representative for the journalist also confirming his exit.
He is still yet to release any further details of why he decided to leave his position as a presenter on GB News.
In a statement, CEO Angelos Frangopoulos said: ‘Simon is an outstanding broadcaster and we’re sorry to see him go.

‘We remain open to ways we can work with him in future.’
Simon was previously a staple on BBC News for nearly 20 years, and exited for the channel which was originally helmed by Neil.
