Lakers Guard Speaks About the ‘Luxury’ of Playing Alongside Lebron James and Other Veterans

Over the years, LeBron James has established his dominance in the NBA. Alongside his personal records and achievements, he has also inspired younger stars in the league to step up their own play styles. LeBron plays for a star-studded Los Angeles Lakers team. Recently, a Lakers player disclosed the effect LeBron and other veterans on the team had on new players.

Lakers rookie Austin Reaves revealed details about his first season at the Lakers to ‘Lakers Nation’. The host questioned Reaves about the things that he had learned from the veterans on the roster. Reaves explained how the veterans, including LeBron, had helped him settle at his new franchise while also giving a special mention to Rajon Rondo.

Reaves said, “Yeah, I mean I have the luxury of having a but the one that I have really like become close with is Rondo. Constantly asking him questions, picking his brain, really just kind of building a great relationship with him. He’s one of the best basketball IQ guys that’s ever played the game.” He added “So really, just like I said, picking his brain and learning from him. Cause he sees the game in such a different aspect than everybody else. He is really smart in that aspect, so that would be the one I would say that I talk to the most. But I mean I have the luxury of – I ask LeBron stuff, Melo everybody, even Dwight.”

Reaves remained drafted in the 2021 NBA draft. He signed with the Lakers on August 3, 2021, on a two-way contract. Lakers signed him to a standard NBA contract on September 27.

LeBron is a four-time NBA champion and won the 2020 NBA title with the Lakers.

LeBron James leads an experienced veteran Lakers team

James is no stranger to guiding NBA franchises to monumental victories. He has done it at three different franchises. He has often displayed his clutch gene at times when his team has needed him the most.

LeBron himself is 36 years old and will soon turn 37 on December 30.
