“Don’t Know How Much Longer I’ll Be Playing”: Andy Murray’s Tough Admission on Retirement

British tennis star, Andy Murray has been a marvelous player on the men’s Tour. He has had one of the most successful careers in the men’s game. He has won many accolades in the sport that make him an extraordinary player. 

Sadly, all has not gone well for Andy Murray. He has faced issues with his hip that has kept him away from the game for a long time. From the 2018 season onwards, the former World No. 1 has been out of action consistently. 

Andy Murray provides a shaky update 

Upon his return, Murray has not been able to create the same impact as he did during his prime. Due to that, he has cast doubts if he can continue playing the sport that has given him everything. 

He recently spoke on this subject and stated, “This decision is an important one for me because obviously I dunno how much longer I’m gonna be playing so I want to make sure the person that’s with me for the last period of my career is the right one. That’s why I’m going about it this way.”

Coming to tennis, Andy was absent for the first two Grand Slam events this season. He made a return back at Wimbledon but lost in the initial rounds to Denis Shapovalov. 

After that, he was involved in an intense match against Stefanos Tsitsipas at the US Open. Although he lost the match, there were many positives for him to take back from that performance.

With this latest development, it will be interesting to see how the British flagbearer will perform in the coming weeks. All eyes will be on the three-time Grand Slam winner when he steps on the courts again.
