WhatsApp crashing for Apple iPhone users globally as customers complain about app outage on social media
WHATSAPP users around the world are reporting that the app crashes as soon it opens, leaving them unable to respond to messages or access contact lists.
The problem has been reported on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business and the WhatsApp beta.
WhatsApp users say the app is crashing as soon as it opens
Many users have gone to Twitter to voice their frustrations and now Downdetector has shown an increase in self-reports.
The problem was believed to have been related to the iOS 15.2 update however users are saying that the issue has been happening on older versions of the operating system as well.
“Reporting crashes in #Whatsapp on iOS 15.2” wrote one user on Twitter who posted a video of the app crashing upon selection.
“Same !! #WhatsappDown” wrote another user in response.
According to Downdetector, there have been nearly 60 self-reports of the app crashing.
WhatsApp has not acknowledged the outages at this time.
