How to screenshot on Snapchat without the other person being notified – try this iPhone trick

HAVE you ever wanted to screenshot something on Snapchat without the other person finding out? This easy hack might be for you.

The clever trick was shared on TikTok and utilizes iPhone’s screen recording feature to help iOS users get around Snapchat’s screenshot notifications.

One TikTok user found a way around Snapchat’s screenshot notification feature

The TikTok content, which was shared by user @leenissaaa, explains the simple trick in a 33-second video.

In the reel, captioned “How to screenshot on snap,” the user could be seen opening up a Snapchat photo on her iPhone device.

She then quickly hit the “Reply” button before the Snapchat image disappeared (this usually happens within seconds), and took a photo.

Instead of sending the photo over, the TikTok creator swiped up to exit the app but not close it completely.

She then swiped down on her iPhone’s home screen to bring out the screen settings.

The user tapped on the “Screen-record” button (displayed as a white circle with a circular ring around it) and returned to the Snapchat app.

Because the content creator did not fully close the app, the “reply” image she used to keep the other person’s photo paused was still present.

The TikToker canceled her photo “reply” and the app brought back the original Snapchat, except this time, the iPhone was screen-recording it.

She then stopped the screen-recording and went to the shared chat between her and the other Snapchat user to show her TikTok followers that they received no notification.

The hack has gone viral since going live earlier this year, accumulating more than 55,000 likes and over 1,000 comments.

Many of the comments expressed disbelief and excitement, with a number of users proclaiming that the hack really works.

Ever since Snapchat launched in 2011, users of the app have been trying to find a cheat sheet to avoid their screenshot notifications feature.

The TikTok creator did not indicate if a similar hack for non-iPhone devices exists.
