You’re using your iPhone Notes wrong – this will totally change how you jot

A TIKTOK hack for your iPhone will massively upgrade your note-taking game.

It works using Apple’s own Notes app – so you don’t even need to install anything.

It actually involves using several tricks at once.

First, make sure you’re using the latest version of Apple’s iOS.

Go into Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates.

Then open your Notes app: it looks like a jotting pad, or type Notes into your iPhone search bar.

Open a new note and then tap on the pen icon at the bottom.

This will let you quickly draw notes with your fingers.

You can then tap on the coloured circle in the bottom right, and change the colour of your drawings.

Excitingly, TikTok user Ambre_Skye revealed that you can use a trick to draw perfect shapes.

Try drawing a square but holding your finger down at the end – don’t release right away.

The Notes app will auto-snap your shape into a perfect square.

You can try this with other shapes too.

For instance, you can draw a circle, an arrow and even a five-pointed star.

One more thing…

This isn’t the only Notes trick you can try.

An even better Notes trick lets you instantly scan any paper document onto your mobile.

Start a new note by tapping the square icon in the bottom right of your display, and then tap the camera icon at the bottom of the note.

Next, choose the Scan Document option, which will launch a camera viewfinder.

Simply position the document directly in front of the camera, and it should automatically start scanning.

It’s instantaneous, and will automatically crop, rotate and optimise the image for you.

You can save the document as a photo or file.

And it’s easy using the iPhone’s built-in sharing tools to send the scanned document over email, via AirDrop to nearby iPhone users, or through apps like WhatsApp.
