BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty issued a stark warning to weather reporter Owain Wyn Evans after he was caught laughing at her behind the camera.

Presenting BBC Breakfast on Friday, Naga stumbled over her words, causing co-host Charlie Stayt to take a swipe at her.

After the mishap, Owain began to laugh – and Naga soon warned him over the reaction.

Discussing how Strictly Come Dancing stars John Whaite and Johannes Radebe have inspired same-sex dance classes, Naga started to slip over her words.

Naga began: “That programme has opened up so many possibilities and so many different combinations of dances that so – make it so much more accessible.”

The blunder came as the 46-year-old struggled to get the word “Strictly” out.

“I can’t get my words out,” she said to co-host, Charlie.

“Try it again,” he sarcastically told his colleague. “We’ve got plenty of time, just take your time.”

Owain could then be heard giggling in the background – and Naga wasn’t happy about it.

Gritting her teeth, Naga continued: “The Strictly Come Dancing final is on BBC One this Saturday, at 7pm.”

Charlie added: “If you heard someone giggling there, it’s Owain over there.”

“You better make sure you’re word perfect, Owain,” Charlie added. “In just a moment we’re going to come to you.”

Naga continued: “We showed the sunrise earlier and that was beautiful, it had a pink hue, didn’t it?

“And you were explaining about rain scattering clouds and then this – the sun comes up.

“It looks like it’s going to be a lovely day here in Salford Quays.”

She joked: “See, I listen to you – stumbles and all!”

“I’m going to say 10/10 on listening to the weather forecast,” Owain replied.

“Do you know what? Too little too late,” Naga abruptly replied.
