Dwayne Wade: “Luckiest Shot I’ve Ever Hit in My Life. One legged game winner against Golden State. I think Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are still standing on the court like what just happened.”

Even years after retiring, Miami Heat fans worship Dwyane Wade. All that he sacrificed and then achieved for the franchise will forever be one of the greatest accomplishments of his career. While his loyalty towards the team has always been the biggest reason for respecting him, his brilliant performances also have stunned us throughout his NBA Career.

But nothing, literally nothing, beats the game-winner that he pulled off against the Golden State Warriors back in 2019. However, if you could see the man himself, reacting to that iconic shot, how wild would that be? Well, dreams do come true, and here’s his much-deserved cocky response.

Dwyane Wade reacts to his game-winner vs Warriors

Even at 37 years of age, Wade was dropping game-winners. On top of that, during his last season with the league, Wade dropped one of the greatest off-balance three’s that the league has ever seen that helped the Miami Heat triumph over the Warriors on February 28, 2019.

The buzzer was about to go off and the Heat was trailing by two points. Jordan Bell rejected the first attempt at a three-pointer by Dwyane Wade. But the ball returned to Wade’s hands and he tossed a one-legged jumper that sealed their 126-125 victory against the Dubs. Even today, anybody who looks at it is absolutely amazed. But what does D-Wade think about it?

In a video where NBA players react to their own iconic shots, Wade saw this shot and said, “Luckiest Shot I’ve Ever Hit in My Life. One-legged game-winner against Golden State. I think Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are still standing on the court like what just happened.”

The New Jersey Nets in 2009, the Detroit Pistons in 2006, Indiana Pacers in 2012, and the Chicago Bulls in 2009 are some of the teams that have faced Wade’s wrath from the arc.

However, the difficulty of this shot surpasses all the others. With the off-balance play and the unpredictable fumble, anything could have happened. But only a great player like him could have somehow steered the game towards a victory. And that he did.
