Celebs Go Dating is the latest TV show to be impacted by the rise in Covid cases across the UK, with the final of the current series reportedly set to be axed in 2021.

Bosses on the Channel 4 dating show have taken the step to postpone the filming of the final episode of the run.

The episode instead will be filmed in 2022, according to The Sun.

In a statement, a Celebs Go Dating spokesperson said: ‘In light of the wider Covid-19 situation currently impacting the UK, filming for our finale is being rescheduled as health and safety remains the top priority.

‘We thank our cast, contributors and crew for following our rigorous Covid-19 protocols, which ensure that we can film the series whilst maintaining a safe environment.’

They added: ‘Viewers can look forward to the return of the celebrity dating agency when Celebs Go Dating airs next year.’

A source also told the publication: ‘The safety of everyone starring on the show and those working on it is a priority.’

The 10th series of the show was due to be filmed this year, with episodes set to air in 2022.

The upcoming episodes are set to star the likes of Abz Love, Chloe Brockett, Nikita Jasmine, Ulrika Jonsson, Jessika Power, Marty McKenna, Miles Nazaire and Ryan-Mark Parsons.

It comes after Good Morning Britain was pulled off air in a shock move as fears over the spike in Covid cases mount.

The ITV news programme last aired on Monday morning with Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray presenting, replacing Susanna Reid who is on holiday.
