Woman left fuming after new £50 dress ‘runs’ on her night out & RUINS posh coat and nails

WE’D love to be the kind of girl who can brave a night out without taking a coat – but ultimately, we always end up choosing to be cosy instead of showing off the outfit we spent hours agonising over.

Before heading out with friends earlier this month, TikTok user Erin thought she’d found a way to stay warm in the cold while ALSO showing off her new black dress.

In a viral video, the fashion fan explained how she chucked on her posh faux fur jacket over her new corseted one-shoulder frock – which cost around £50 from Oh Polly.

But after getting caught in a light shower, Erin claims the dye of the black dress ran everywhere – and ruined her jacket AND nails.

Sharing photos of the night, she wrote: “[Point of view]: your Oh Polly dress ruins your brand new coat and nails so you cry in a kebab shop.”

The video opens with a selfie Erin had taken at home of her new dress before jumping to clip of her posing in the lifts where her jacket still looks pristine.

But between the bar and kebab shop the group visited at the end of the night, Erin’s jacket got a little wet in the rain – which may be why the colour of the dress underneath ran.

She added: “It was spitting but I had the coat on so no water got to the dress and it still did it.”

And worse still, the back of her nails were also tainted black while the sleeves of her coat turned blue from where the dye had transferred.

Erin’s video has racked up thousands of views and prompted fans to share their own fashion disasters.

One replied: “I hate when black clothes do this. Some of mine still do even after loads of washes.”

“NO WAY! This happened to me with my nails I got done the day before,” another added. “Assumed it was something from the night out not the dress!”

Fabulous has contacted Oh Polly for comment.
