Those with flat hair have even resorted to blow drying their locks upside down in a bid to make it more voluminous.

But one beauty fan has revealed a quick and easy trick to boost flat locks.

Hotli Beauty shared a video on TikTok revealing the hack, which involves using a brush to push up the hair at the crown.

“A hair trick that all girls must know!” she captioned the video.

With the brush still held in place, the hair is blasted with hot air from the hairdryer for five to eight seconds, before it’s hit with cold air for three to five seconds.

Once that’s done, the brush is removed, and the hair is magically still left in position – boosted from the root up.

“This a new one,” one person commented on the TikTok video, while another added, “I’m trying this on my limp hair.”

Another tagged their friend in the video and wrote: “Thought u might appreciate this for that volume your always after.”

“Been doing this for years, to add volume,” a third person commented, while another called the trick a “god send”.

Others were less complimentary, with one person questioning: “why would anyone do that? It doesn’t look good it just looks like your hair is messy.”
