Nico Rosberg recalls the moment he decided to retire from F1

Nico retired from F1 after winning the championship in 2016. This meant that Lewis Hamilton did not get the chance to win the title off him. Rosberg revealed that the thought of retirement came to him instantly as he crossed the line in Abu Dhabi.

“Two meters after the line in Abu Dhabi. If you ask me, ‘When did you decide to retire?’ That was the moment,” said Rosberg on when he decided to retire.

“I had given it everything. It was a question of do I want to continue to deliver and live in that intensity? And with my dream having come true–I’d fulfilled my goal of being world champion–it just felt like a great moment to step away and have a new life, with different benefits.” said Rosberg.

Well, it would be interesting to see if Rosberg continues in the Extreme E series as the team owner, but he has made no announcements yet. It looks like Lewis Hamilton will get his chance to win back the title in Extreme E unlike in F1. What is your take on this rivalry?
