Kawhi Leonard has not played a single game this season. Nearing the halfway point of the season, Los Angeles was still recovering from the shock of losing an All-Star to a long-term injury. Yet somehow they were competing at a high level. A significant amount of credit for that goes to Paul George who had an incredible season so far.
His incredible performance even put him in the discussion for MVP so far this season. Unfortunately for Clippers fans, sources have confirmed that Paul George is now sidelined because of a long-term injury (torn ligament).

Los Angeles Clippers face a major setback as Paul George gets sidelined
Paul George who was undoubtedly the best player on the Clippers this season is now expected to be out for 3-to-4 weeks. He has torn a ligament in his right elbow and will no longer be available to the team. This comes after an impressive start to the season for the Clippers who maintained the fifth seed even without Kawhi Leonard.

However, this news comes as a major dent in their championship ambitions. Kawhi was already sidelined but looks healthy now to soon return. However, it was his duo with George that gave the Clippers fans any hope for a championship. While Paul George was performing at an MVP caliber, his absence would also mean the loss of a leader in the roster.
What does this mean for PG and the Clippers?
Considering that in the absence of these All-Star caliber players, veterans like Bledsoe and Ibaka may have to step up. Nevertheless, this is nothing but worrying news for Clippers fans. Since for nearly the next entire month, they would not have a star player to heavily rely upon on the court. In an era of super teams, such a team does not have the odds in their favor to maintain a playoff spot.
