Dwyane Wade Not a Fan of Stephen Curry Era NBA: “I Wouldn’t Enjoy Playing the Game With 80 Percent of the Shots Being Threes”
It’s as if Stephen Curry is on a mission this season to prove all those wrong, who bashed him for not being able to carry the Golden State Warriors without Klay Thompson. So, with Klay’s comeback yet to happen, the Dubs still seem to be doing brilliantly without him. Not only do they have the best record in the Western Conference, but the league as well.
In fact, Steph has been reaching new heights in his personal achievements as well. He surpassed Ray Allen in the record for all-time three-pointers, a title he deserves. But it seems like Dwyane Wade isn’t a very big fan of the three-point game that Steph has helped instill deeply in today’s games.
Dwyane Wade prefers his era over Stephen Curry and the three-point era
In a video where Dwyane Wade answers all Twitter questions directed to him, he was asked something quite pressing. The debate of whether the three-pointers have ruined the game of basketball has been going around for a while now. So, when asked about his opinion, he confessed that he isn’t very fond of it either.
“I wouldn’t enjoy playing the game with 80% of the shots being threes,” he started off. “But I can understand the nature of the game today. I know that three points is more than two points. And if a team is shooting 60 threes, and one team is shooting 30, who’s gonna win that game?”
He further explained, “Coming from a different era, you wanna see the game played just the way that you played it. But you got to try to figure out a way, to appreciate the game, the way it’s played in today’s era.”

The way that Curry has been carrying the Dubs, it was about time that he took over the top spot in the race for this season’s MVP. Of course, his biggest competition, Kevin Durant, has entered the league’s health and safety protocols, giving him a head-start.
However, this doesn’t mean Steph deserves it any less. In fact, they are one of the most obvious title contenders at the moment. And once Klay returns, it will be raining threes, or at least that’s what Dubs fans are hoping. Sorry, Dwyane!
