How Many PGA Tour Events Are Lined Up For January 2022?
The 2021 PGA Tour season was another triumphant one, with loads of memories going down in history books. From Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth’s resurgence to Collin Morikawa dominating the year-end and bagging the DP World Tour Finals, we saw it all. As another year will soon be past us, we can’t help but look forward to what the new year will bring with it.
After over a one-month hiatus, with the last event being played at the RSM Classic, the tour will finally come together again in January 2022. And after all these weeks of competitive inactivity, the tour will return with not three, but four events! Let’s take a look at next month’s schedule.
PGA Tour to kick off with the Tournament of Champions in 2022
2022 will begin with the Sentry Tournament of Champions from January 6th to 9th. The scenic Kapalua Plantation Course in Hawaii will be host to the event and a massive purse of $8,000,000 will be up for grabs.
The qualifiers include defending champion Harris English, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, and many other top-ranked players. However, most of the players have until the end of this week to commit to the event.
