Ryan Garcia Keen to Show Why He’s on a ‘Different Level’ Than Rival Gervonta Davis

This is because Garcia only fought once in 2021, and now he’s eager to keep an active run throughout the next year.

Garcia has many matchups in contention, but one fight that lures ‘King Ry’ and the fans is a fight with Gervonta Davis. The 23-year-old is supremely keen on locking horns with rival ‘Tank’. The banter between the two seems far from reaching saturation.

Recently, ‘King Ry’ was in a chat with World Boxing News. Here, he spoke about his nemesis, Davis, and a potential fight with him.

He said, “That’s gonna be probably one of the biggest fights when it happens, me versus Tank, so it’s a perfect opportunity for me to show how much of a different level that I am than Tank.” 

“It will get people more interested. I’ve been trying to build this Tank fight for years and I think I’m doing a good job at it. Every time we fight we’re trending (on social media) and I think people are gonna go crazy when that fight actually happens,” He added.

Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis rank among the top-notch young boxing stalwarts of the modern era. That said, a fight between these two will determine who actually can cement his legacy as a true great.

Ryan Garcia vs Gervonta Davis – Will this fight happen in 2022?

Garcia still has to prove his mettle against some vital challengers in the lightweight division like Isaac Cruz, Joseph Diaz, and more.

That said, he won’t get a shot towards Davis in the comeback fight itself, because the latter holds the WBA ‘regular’ lightweight title. And he also is looking to go for the ultimate title shot.
