Britney Spears ‘unfollows’ sister Jamie Lynn on Instagram amid nasty family feud after winning conservatorship battle

BRITNEY Spears UNFOLLOWED her sister Jamie Lynn Spears on Instagram.

The pop superstar’s younger sister – whom Britney shaded as her “so-called support system” after winning her conservatorship battle – still follows her.

An eagle-eyed internet user pointed out on Saturday that younger sibling, Jamie Lynn, was no longer part of Britney’s “following” count on Instagram.

In a separate screenshot, Jamie Lynn still appeared to be following Britney, 39.

Britney currently follows 46 people on Instagram, including fiancé Sam Asghari, Paris Hilton and Selena Gomez – as well as other stars who supported the #FreeBritney movement.

Over the weekend, she also posted a video of birds fleeing cages set to the song “Infinity,” by Jaymes Young. 

“SYMBOLIC of my year this year  !!!!!⁣” she captioned the post.

2021 saw her big conservatorship win, a legal arrangement that she was under for 13 years.

Britney has since been vocal on Instagram – thanking her “support system” while calling out those who she felt were not part of it – including members of her immediate family. 

In July, she posted a fiery message for select members of her family who “ruined” her life.

She shared an image which read: “Take me as I am or kiss my a**, eat s**t and step on legos.”

In the lengthy caption to the sassy quote, she wrote: “For those of you who choose to criticize my dancing videos, look I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think!!!!

“I’ve done that for the past 13 years… I’d much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn’t even shake my hand.

“And I ended up getting a contact high from weed all the time… Which I didn’t mind but it would have been nice to be able to go to the mother f**king spa!!!!”

The Circus singer then slammed her younger sibling, Jamie Lynn, in her rant.

The hitmaker wrote: “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes!!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply!!!! 

“This conservatorship killed my dreams … so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill… yet people still try !!!!”

Jamie Lynn, 30, performed alongside fellow singers Kelsea Ballerini, Hailee Steinfeld, and others to a remixed medley of Britney’s biggest songs at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards.

As her older sister sat in the audience and watched, Jamie Lynn came out to sing Britney’s 2011 smash Till The World Ends.

FAMILY FURY

In another Instagram post over the summer, Britney took aim at her family once more for seemingly doing too little too late.

She shared a text post that read: “Never forget who ignored you when you needed them and who helped you before you even asked.”

She candidly wrote in the caption: “There’s nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support … there’s nothing worse than that!!!!

“How dare the people you love the most say anything at all … did they even put a hand out to even lift me up at the TIME!!!???

“How dare you make it public that NOW you CARE … did you put your hand out when I was drowning????”

BRITNEY AND JAMIE LYNN’S CROSSROADS

As Britney seemed to have unfollowed her sister, Jamie Lynn shared a series of photos to Instagram to incapsulate 2021 and promote her upcoming memoir, “Things I Should Have Said.”

“Dear 2021 You tried your damnedest… bless your heart,” she wrote. “Hoping 2022 brings nothing but healing, love, peace, and happiness to you all- wishing every[one] a safe and Happy New Year.”

As Page Six reported, Jamie Lynn changed the title of the book in October after getting slammed by fans.

The memoir was originally titled “I Must Confess,” which would seem like a nod to Britney’s 1998 debut single, “…Baby One More Time.”

“We deeply regret that incorrect and incomplete information about her book has appeared in the public space, particularly at this sensitive time for Jamie Lynn and her family,” Jamie Lynn’s publishing company, Worthy Publishing, said in a statement via Instagram at the time.

They added that the “as-yet-untitled memoir” was “still in development.”
