Helen Skelton amazes followers by going on family hike with newborn – one week after giving birth

Helen Skelton recently gave birth to her third child and she’s already taking the newborn on hikes – oh, by ‘recently’ we mean one week ago.
There’s just no stopping the Countryfile presenter, as she and her husband Richie Myler embarked on a family hike to welcome in the New Year.
The former Blue Peter host took to Instagram to share the outing with her 264k followers, who were super impressed to see Helen ‘out out’ and flooded her comments with well wishes.
In their first snap as a family of five, Helen shared a selfie showing her newborn snuggled up against her chest in a carrier.
Meanwhile, her husband and two eldest children, Ernie and Louis, stopped on a hill to take in the views.
Helen’s surroundings were breathtaking, as the snap showed a beautiful blue sky and countryside for miles.
She captioned her pic: ‘Lot to be thankful for….. Wishing you and yours well for 2022. #newyear #grateful’
Her followers were full of admiration, with one commenting: ‘Massive congratulations, you’re amazing being out & about already.’
Another added: ‘Gosh, well done for getting out already.’
Others were curious to the sex of Helen’s baby, which she has not yet made public.

‘Why don’t you tell us whether you have had a boy or girl?’ wrote one follower, however, others were quick to remind them that the family are ‘entitled’ to keep that information private.
‘Because it’s none of our business, if they want to stay in the moment for a bit longer why not,’ said someone.
Helen also took to her story to share further pics from their outing, showing her boys enjoying being out in the fresh air with their family dog, and even covered from head-to-toe in mud after seemingly falling over in the woodlands.

Helen announced the birth of her third child three days ago with a sweet photo of her rugby player partner.
Richie was pictured walking out of the hospital, baby carrier in hand as the tot slept soundly wrapped up in an adorable outfit.
She wrote: ‘Can always count on dickie …. of all the things he’s said (there’s been a lot) “don’t worry I will be your lido…” while on route to the hospital might be my fave. The man meant Doula. From the mouths of men.’

Helen was filming right up until eight months of pregnancy, and joked viewers will be ‘asking if I am on baby number seven’ when the projects air in 2022.
