I have lost all my confidence and hide myself away from the world because I hate the way I look
DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE lost all my confidence and hide myself away from the world because I hate the way I look.
I can’t bear to look in a mirror. I look nothing like I did a decade ago. It makes me feel so sad. I am 45 and my partner is 48. We have been together for 12 years.

I am in the best, most loving and loyal relationship I have ever been in.
We have two girls together and I also have a child from a previous relationship. I have told my partner how I feel but he says I am beautiful. He says he absolutely adores me just the way I am, so why can’t I accept that?
