Twitch star Amouranth ‘paid $8,000 by fan to call them a loser on video’

TWITCH mega star Amouranth has disclosed a bizarre request from a fan that’s set to net her thousands of dollars.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the US platform’s biggest female creator revealed that an admirer will pay her $8,000 to call them a loser on video.

She added that the anonymous messager also requested that she hold up an obscene hand gesture in the clip.

“Someone offered $8,000 to flip them off and call them a loser on my fan page,” Amouranth, whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa, tweeted.

She added: “Y’all wild. I guess I’ll do it”.

Amouranth is one of Twitch’s most prolific creators, broadcasting to her five million followers for up to 12 hours a day.

The Texan streams footage of herself dancing, playing video games and more – almost always clad in bikinis or her underwear.

She recently told Vice that she makes $1.5million (£1.1million) a month posting content to Twitch and its explicit counterpart OnlyFans.

Amouranth admitted that people often email her with offers of “obscene” amounts of money – offers that are not always genuine.

However, the most recent case appears to be legitimate as they’ve already made the donation on Amouranth’s “fan page messenger”.

“To clarify, there are 40x $200 donations (spread out over 3 days, they had to confirm with their payment processor lol) on the fan page messenger from this person,” the streamer added. “So it’s already paid.”

“They claim they’ll rewatch the video everytime they feel like procrastinating to get started on their diet and work towards their goals,” she added.

Amazon bought Twitch for $1billion in 2014 and the streaming platform has gone from strength to strength in the years since.

Thanks to a surge in users during the coronavirus pandemic, the service now boasts as many as two million concurrent viewers at any one time.

Broadcasters stream themselves playing video games, cooking, chatting with friends and more.

Unlike rival streaming platforms such as OnlyFans, however, users are strictly prohibited from posting explicit content.

“For those who present as women, we ask that you cover your nipples. We do not permit exposed underbust,” the service’s community guidelines say.

It also does not permit “sexually suggestive content” such as a camera focus on “breasts, buttocks, or pelvic region”.

Amouranth has fallen afoul of its nudity guidelines on numerous occasions.

In May, the streaming mega-star announced that Twitch had suspended advertising on her channel following a string of racy broadcasts.
