Andy Murray’s brother, Jamie Murray, Toni Nadal, and American Noah Rubin shared their honest opinions on the subject. According to all of them, Novak Djokovic should release a statement explaining the whole scenario.

Andy Murray’s brother on Novak Djokovic getting an exemption

Novak Djokovic has finally broken the silence on his participation at the Australian Open 2022. The Serbian took to Instagram to share the news with his fans.

He wrote, “I’ve spent fantastic quality time with my loved ones over the break and today I’m heading Down Under with an exemption permission. Let’s go 2022 !!” Novak Djokovic hasn’t played professional tennis since losing against Alexander Zverev at the ATP Tour Finals in Turin, Italy.

After Nole’s announcement, many people from the tennis world expressed their opinions on the subject. Andy Murray’s brother, Jamie Murray, said, “I think if it was me that wasn’t vaccinated I wouldn’t be getting an exemption.” It seems like he isn’t happy with the exemption permission given to the World No. 1.

In addition, understanding the gravity of the situation, the officials of the Australian Open released a statement as well. They said the exemption was granted after a rigorous review process that involved medical experts.

Toni Nadal and Noah Rubin want an explanation from Djokovic

Rafael Nadal‘s uncle, Toni Nadal, was hopeful that Novak would give an explanation about the exemption. He stated, “It would be good if Novak gave some explanation. I want to think that it will clear doubts as a sign of human sensitivity and understanding.” 

American tennis player Noah Rubin said, ” I spoke with a few players and, finally, it’s very simple: either you organize a press conference, or you write a press release to explain the situation, why you received the medical exemption…”

Many people have started questioning the situation around Novak Djokovic’s exemption, believing that he should have provided a clearer picture of the situation to the public.
