‘Love and Forgiveness Is Never a Mistake’- Novak Djokovic’s Wife Jelena Djokovic Pens a Heartfelt Message on Serbia’s Christmas Day

Christmas Day is celebrated on 7th January every year across Serbia. On the special occasion, Jelena Djokovic, Novak Djokovic’s wife, Vasek Pospisil, and four-time Grand Slam winner in doubles, Paul McNamee has sent wishes to World No.1 amidst the chaos going around.

Novak Djokovic has been denied entry to Melbourne due to his visa cancellation. Soon after, he was sent to a detention apartment in the suburb of Melbourne. The 20-time Grand Slam winner has filed an appeal, and the hearing will take place on Monday.

Jelena sends Christmas wishes to Novak Djokovic

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is in utmost need of support, as his participation at the Australian Open 2022 is taking more twists every day. Amidst the controversy, Djokovic’s family and friends have wished him a healthy life on Serbia’s Christmas Day. Jelena Djokovic, wife of Novak Djokovic penned down an emotional message for her husband.

Jelena took to Instagram and wrote, “ It’s Christmas today for us, my wishes are for everyone to be healthy, happy, safe, and together with families. We wish we are all together today, but my consolation is that at least we are healthy. And we will grow from this experience.

Furthermore, she also thanked everyone who is currently supporting World No. 1. “Love and forgiveness is never a mistake but a powerful force,” she added.

Vasek Pospisil and four-time doubles Grand Slam winner also sent their regards

Vasek Pospisil, co-founder of PTPA (Professional Tennis Players Association) came out in support of Djokovic when it was needed. Pospisil and Djokovic founded the PTPA at the US Open 2020.

He took to Twitter and quoted, ” Despite the controversy of the last 30+hours, @DjokerNole is my friend, my fellow player, @ptpaplayers co-founder & proud Serbian. I wish him & all Orthodox believers, safety & good health on their Christmas Eve. Stay strong my brother.”

Four-time doubles Grand Slam champion, Paul Mcnamee also sent regards to Novak Djokovic on a special day. In addition, he also awaits the important decision on the ongoing scenario.

So the court will make a decision on the Djokovic case on Monday. I’ve had my say, so will now wait until a decision is made… in the meantime, I wish a sincere Happy Christmas to those celebrating it tomorrow, and hope everyone else has a good day too
