Ex-Wife Juanita Once Revealed Life After Divorce With Michael Jordan: “Mostly Our Conversations Are About the Children. I Don’t Remember Him Saying, by the Way, I’m Getting Married.”

Michael Jordan and Juanita met at Bennigan’s Restaurant in Chicago in 1985. A year after the proposal which took place in 1987, Juanita gave birth to Jordan’s first child. Jordan’s disagreement with Juanita has caused much controversy. The dispute over Michael’s first son Jeffrey, who was born on November 18, 1988, ended after a few months.

After Jeffrey, the couple had two more children: Marcus James and Jasmine Mickael, who were born in 1990 and 1992 respectively. In Las Vegas, the couple got married at the Little White Chapel. They separated after being together for close to two decades. At one time, she talked about her life after her divorce from Jordan. 

Juanita once revealed that Michael Jordan kept his wedding plans secret

Juanita filed for divorce in 2002. However, after four years of trying to fix their marriage, the couple separated in a joint settlement. She received a $168 million share along with some other additional benefits pertaining to their Highland Park property.

Jordan moved out of Chicago after their divorce and remarried, while Juanita remained away from the public eye. In an interview with Chicago Business in 2013, Juanita stated that:

 “I had to because I wasn’t going to be in a huge house. I really looked forward to the basic things: my children and my good friends.”

As she discussed the details of her life after the divorce and how she lives with his children privately, she mentioned that:

“Mostly our conversations are about the children. I don’t remember him saying, ‘By the way, I’m getting married. Divorce was certainly new to me. I had to learn that you have to communicate. That it’s not about you or your ex-partner. It’s about making sure the children are all right.”

As of right now, there is little information on her occupation owing to the very private life she leads, although it has been reported that she indulges in Bikram Yoga and travels throughout Europe. Prior to her marriage, she had been renowned as a model. Juanita is also a member of a non-profit charity organization.
