And some are even pulling over to get a clearer look at the towering bronze artwork in East Anglia.

One villager in Yoxford, Suffolk, said: “It could end up causing an accident as it is distracting.

“The A12 is a very busy road and people can’t help looking at a depiction of a naked man in all his glory as they are driving past.”

Another local added: “The statue’s manhood is quite prominent. Your eyes are always drawn to it.

“It has caused a lot of debate with some people arguing his package is really quite large while others think it is in proportion to his height.”

The sculpture — dubbed Yoxman — weighs eight tons and stands proud in the grounds of Cockfield Hall.

Sculptor Laurence Edwards, who lives in the village, created the piece for property billionaire Jon Hunt.

Parish council chairman Russell Pearce said: “I think it is fantastic.”

People have suggested it’s Suffolk’s answer to the Angel of the North.
