“Nobody Wants to Sign a Contract for a Fight With Me”: Vasyl Lomachenko Reveals the Struggles of Being the Best Boxer in the World

‘The Matrix’ has resurrected. Vasyl Lomachenko is back to his dominant best and has silenced all his critics. Following his shocking loss to Teofimo Lopez, many fans and pundits felt Lomachenko did not have it in him anymore. Has the aging process affected the game of the most gifted boxers of this generation?

Lomachenko gave his doubters a simple answer when he took on Richard Commey. The Ukrainian took on the Ghanaian boxer on December 11, 2021. Lomachenko put on yet another dominant display against a taller and stronger opponent. ‘The Matrix’ was back, and no one could question it.

However, his win over Commey put the entire division on notice and proclaimed the return of the lightweight king. Lomachenko made his intentions very clear. “I don’t want to play this game with their rules, I don’t want to be famous, I just want to be the best in boxing. I don’t want to change myself.” Lomachenko said.

Vasyl Lomachenko looks to take on the unified lightweight champion of the world, George Kambosos Jr.

Vasyl Lomachenko wants to take on the newly crowned unified lightweight champion of the world ‘Ferocious’ George Kambosos Jr. The Australian stunned the world with his win over Teofimo Lopez. Lopez looked to defend his titles against a smaller opponent in Kambosos Jr. However, Kambosos outboxed Lopez and knocked out the knockout artist.

Vasiliy Lomachenko has approached George Kambosos Jnr to discuss a fight to rightfully decide the lightweight division’s No 1, says Top Rank president Todd DuBoef.
