‘Still Few Questions Need to be Answered’: Andy Murray Opens up on Novak Djokovic’s Fiasco
Everyone in the tennis world has their opinion on the visa case of Novak Djokovic, and former World no.1, Andy Murray, also expressed his opinion on the whole matter. The 3-time Grand Slam champion is currently playing in the Sydney International tournament where an interviewer asked him about Djokovic.
Interestingly, Murray showed his support for Novak, as he didn’t like the way the Australian authorities treated Djokovic in Australia.

After winning his second match of 2022 in Sydney, Andy Murray stated his opinion about the whole Novak Djokovic saga. The 3-time Grand Slam champion is glad that the Serb is not in detention anymore and wants Novak to compete on the court.
He said, “It’s positive that Djokovic isn’t in detention anymore. He won in court, so that’s a positive thing for him. It looks he is gonna be able to compete. Hopefully, he will be able to concentrate on tennis.”

However, the Scottish player is curious to know about the isolation of Novak and he made it clear that he came here to compete and win tournaments. “I think there is still a few questions that need to be answered around the isolation and stuff, which I’m sure we’ll hear from him in the next few days, but yeah, I mean, I’m obviously here to try and play and win tournaments,” Murray added.

Andy Murray is ready for the Australian Open
The former British no.1 has been suffering from a hip injury in the last few years, which almost caused him to retire from tennis forever. Now, it looks like he is back to full fitness, as he beat Viktor Durasovic by 6-3, 6-1 in the first round of Sydney International.

After winning his match against Durasovic, Murray believes in himself to have another Grand Slam run. At the same time, he wants to reach 50 career titles; he’s currently at 46 titles.
“I won 46 tournaments in my career. My goal is try and reach 50 – whether I do that or not, I don’t know – and then is to have a big run at one of the major events and see what happens,” Murray said after the match.
