The six Primark hero pieces of the season you can’t miss out on & prices start from just £12

GROWING up, the longest we ever got to browse the aisles of our local Primark was when mum popped in to top on school socks and tights.

But while Primark is undeniably great for basics, the budget store has also amassed a cult following for how it nails the trends every season.

Now that 2022 is well and truly underway, here are the six purse-friendly items worth picking up in Primark – and prices start from £12.

£35 Chocolate Brown Mac

We all know that a tan trenchcoat is a timeless investment.

But a faux-leather offering? Someone pass us our debit card.

For the start of the new year, the brand has unveiled its new chocolate brown double-breasted leather mac – which comes complete with a wraparound belt to cinch you in at the waist.

And while a real leather offering would easily set you back a few hundred elsewhere on the high street, Primark’s version is a cool £35.

Pair with black straight-leg trousers and a shirt for a smart casual look or bodycon dress and boots for a night out with the girls.

£17 Paperbag Trousers

One of the only perks of lockdown was that we no longer had to squeeze into a pair of tight smart trousers everyday.

But if you’re beginning to tire of tracksuit bottoms and jeans, Primark has come up with the perfect middle ground.

Introducing the Izzie trousers – which have a flattering turned-up hem and high-waisted cut.

While we’re still in the depths of winter, the £17 bottoms work well with tighter-fitting long-sleeved tops and knits.

But once the weather starts warming up, they’ll go expertly well with strappy camis and an denim jacket.

£15 Leather Dress

If you ask us, you don’t get much more flattering than an A-Line skirt – after all, the triangular shape cinches you in at the waist and elongates your legs.

So that being said, we’re VERY excited to snap up this £15 leather dress next time we’re down our local Primark.

What’s more, the long-sleeves will see you through the colder weeks while the seam under the bust gives an envy-inducing shape.

£17 Sleeveless Gilet

We’re not much of a gambler – but if we had to take a punt on what’ll be Primark’s next cult item, it’d be this £17 sleeveless gilet.

Considering how tailoring is going to be EVERYWHERE again this season, this sleeveless jacket is an easy way to give the trend a quick nod.

Pair with a white t-shirt and ripped jeans on weekends or chuck it over a little black dress for a super chic date night outfit.

£12 Knitted Vest

If you’ve spent more than five minutes in the UK, then you’ll know just how unpredictable the weather can be – which is why knitted vests are an absolute godsend.

Too warm for a full-on jumper? But not warm enough for only a t-shirt? Then this £12 cable-knit is your answer.

And we can guarantee that any members of the fash pack won’t be able to spot the low price-tag thanks to its expensive-looking ribbed neckline and hem.

£18 Check Midi Dress

2019 was the year THAT Zara dress sent us dotty for midis – and it’s an obsession that still hasn’t subsided.

For 2022, Primark has brought out a stunning checked print midi with a flattering drop-hem.

What’s more the V-neck allows your jewellery to take centre stage.

With a leather jacket thrown over your shoulders and a pair of heeled boots or sandals, you’ll be sure to turn heads.

Oh and did we mention it’s only £18?!
