BREAKING: NBA Insider Destroys Kyrie Irving Home Return Rumors

The Brooklyn Nets are one of the definite contenders this season. Their team led by Kevin Durant has done wonders so far this season. Now, they are more of a powerhouse with Kyrie Irving joining away games as well. Recently, there have also been rumors about Irving playing in home games. However, an NBA insider put an end to those talks rather quickly.

The situation with KAI has been going on for a long time. Since Irving decided not to comply with the league’s norms, he was left to play just away games due to the laws of New York City. Hence, the Nets even cut him off the roster for some time. But they made the big call of getting him back and he been working well with the team.

But rumors started coming in of Irving playing in some games. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski came out on Twitter and squashed these rumors.

No Kyrie Irving for home games

The rumor going around was for Irving to be able to play at home if the Nets would pay a particular fine. Kyrie still isn’t eligible to play games in New York. However, the rumor brings out a possibility for that to happen. But Woj came out against this, making it clear that Kyrie and the Nets won’t be able to find a loophole through the system.

He said: “To be clear on the hypothetical ability for a team to pay a fine for an unvaccinated player to play in a marketplace that local ordinances forbid: NBA memo to organizations on September 1 says that teams must follow local laws and players who don’t comply won’t be able to play.

Being well versed in the way of the league, Wojnarowski clearly states that teams are required to comply with the local laws of the city. Hence, unless Kyrie Irving follows the norms of the city, he is not eligible to play an NBA game in the city of New York.

So there is no chance for the Nets to see a home return for Kyrie. The Nets will respect the ways of the city and the league and will not allow Irving to participate in home games. Do you think the Brooklyn Nets will go out of their way to let KAI play? Let us know in the comments below.
