EastEnders’ Pam actress Lin Blakley has a very famous family – from chart-topping husband to TV star daughter

FAN favourite Pam Coker came back to Walford during a recent EastEnders instalment.

And while viewers of the soap know her as the market trader, they may not know that some of Lin Blakley‘s close ones have also made names for themselves.

Lin made her debut appearance in the BBC One show in 2014 and has made several cameo appearances since her departure in 2016.

“Being part of EastEnders is like going to work and being with another family. I’m really enjoying myself”, she once told online media outlet Digital Spy.

When she’s off-screen, however, Lin shares some of the stardom with her chart-topping husband and actress daughter.

Lin married husband Alan Blakley in 1969 and they remained an item until his death in 1996.

During his career, Alan was one of the big names of sixties pop group The Tremeloes and performed many hits such as Silence is Golden and Me and My Life.

Alan is also known to for his connection to Len Chip Hawkes, father of pop star Chesney Hawkes, for whom he wrote songs.

A keyboardist and rhythm guitarist, Alan was also a record producer and worked with Bilbo on the seventies’ song She’s Gonna Win.

Alan shared two daughters with Lin, named Claudie and Kirsten, and died on June 10, 1996, following an intense battle with cancer.

However, musical talent evidently runs in the family as daughter Kirsten has followed in her father’s footsteps, singing with a rock band called Little Spitfire.

Claudie, on the other hand, decided to follow another path and turned to acting like her mother Lin.

After being trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, Claudie (born on January 4, 1974) became a familiar face on the British box by appearing in several popular shows, although she made her acting debut on stage in 1995.

Her TV credits include Vital Signs, Flesh and Blood, Manhunt, Silent Witness, Midsomer Murders, Agatha Christie’s Marple, Cranford and Grantchster, among many others.

Claudie has also made numerous appearances in numerous films in the likes of A Christmas Carol, Pride & Prejudice, Lennon Naked and The Kid Who Would Be King.

She is married to another actor, Ross Anderson, known for starring in the ITV drama Des and in the series Legends.

They share a daughter called Mabel.
