World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been in the news right since the beginning of the New Year. The nine-time champions’ fate regarding his participation at the Australian Open 2022 has been the most talked-about topic in recent days.

The Australian government has been involved too. Djokovic received a medical exemption to compete in the Australian Open 2022 and after initially having his visa cancelation revoked, his visa has been canceled for the second time in quick succession.

Latest Development on Novak Djokovic with regard to the Australian Open 2022

There were rumors of floating in the air since yesterday of the possibility of Djokovic having his visa rejected. Some time ago, Immigration Minister Alex Hawke stated, “[Cancelled] on health and good order grounds, on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so.”

Let us take a look at the reactions from individuals with regard to the latest development in the case of Novak Djokovic. Cahill stated, “No. Not at all. The fault lies everywhere here. It’s been a mess. Novak, TA, Vic Gov, Federal Gov. It should’ve been a hard rule entering this country considering what the folks have been thru. Get vaccinated and come play the AO, or if not maybe see you in 23′. No wiggle room.”

No! Novak Djokovic kicked an ‘own goal’ out of the park, all on his lonesome. He has knowingly misled, obfuscated & peddled incorrect information whilst posting on social media the means of his own sporting demise; no doubt a temporary situation but residual damage will remain.

All is not done as yet. There will be an appeal by the legal team of Novak Djokovic. However, for the moment, World No. 1 has his plate full of legal complications.

The Australian Open 2022 begins on the 17th of January and will end on the 30th of January. It will be interesting to see the latest developments.
