“His Boxing Ability Was Out of This World.”- Conor McGregor’s Boxing Coach Says an Oscar Winning Actor Has Insane Boxing Skills

UFC has seen many top draws and knockout artists during the last 25+ years, but none had the PPV draw as Conor McGregor. The former two divisional champions showcased immense charisma and attained a massive fan following.

The Irish superstar continues to train out of SBG Ireland gym and he also trains with Crumlin Boxing Club under the tutelage of two-time Irish Olympian Phil Sutcliffe.

Sutcliffe recently shed light on training multiple-time Oscar-winning actors, Daniel Day-Lewis for The Boxer. The critically acclaimed actor won numerous accolades in his career, but perhaps he earned his highest praise recently from Sutcliffe. According to a recent report by Talksport, Sutcliffe trained the high-profile actor and showered words of praise.

He said, “Daniel came in and trained like a professional fighter, did everything that a professional boxer needs to do. And I know that because I’ve been training them in the gym for a long time now. He was 100 percent committed, practiced everything until he got it perfect, and could land a punch, of course. His boxing ability was out of this world.”

The former two-division champion hasn’t abandoned his team despite achieving groundbreaking success. No other UFC fighter or mixed martial artist has managed to amass the same level of wealth as the Irish superstar.

The name Notorious has become synonymous with the mixed martial artist, previously this moniker belonged to the late great rapper and hip hop icon, BIG.

2021 hasn’t been kind on the superstar as he lost two crucial back-to-back fights against Dustin The Diamond Poirier. The 33-year-old superstar suffered a first knockout loss in his entire career and incurred two losses in a row. This string of losses has dropped him down to 9th rank in the division, and he must retrace his step back into the title contention.
