The Masked Singer: Is Bagpipes Pat Cash? Fans spot subtle giveaway clue

Pat Cash, is that you?! (Pictures: PA / Getty)

The Masked Singer fans are absolutely convinced that they’ve rumbled the identity of Bagpipes with the help of a subtle clue.

This year’s mystery celebs have largely left the panel of judges – Rita Ora, Jonthan Ross, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan – stumped.

But as fans have pored over the clues, they’re starting to get some answers.

People think they’ve established that Bagpipes is a tennis player, with Jonathan guessing John McEnroe.

However, a clue package showed Bagpipes sitting down at a table laden with fruit juice. Right next to the sign for the fruit juice was a tiny sign with a credit card crossed out.

It presumably means no cards allowed – so cash only? Pat Cash maybe?

While the clue was only on-screen for a split-second, it certainly didn’t pass viewers by.

‘Bagpipes is Pat Cash, whilst on the balcony there was a sign of a credit card that had a line through it, cash only!’ one pointed out, while another said: ‘One of the clues for the Bagpipes on #TheMaskedSingerUK was a picture of a credit card crossed out. If no credit card, then cash? Pat Cash?’

One of the clues for the Bagpipes on #TheMaskedSingerUK was a picture of a credit card crossed out. If no credit card, then cash? Pat Cash?

Tons more viewers spotted the clue.

Other clues referred to Bagpipes having a Scottish background and having sung a tune with a ‘tumbling rock,’ which presumably refers to a Rolling Stone.

In 2016, Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood was seen joining Pat at Wimbledon, with the pair appearing to have a blast together.

Meanwhile, in their two truths and a lie clues, Bagpipes referred to a guitar strap.

Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen once famously presented Pat with a guitar strap – so make of that what you will.

Other guesses for Bagpipes include Paul Hollywood (whose name stands ’45 feet high’ on the Hollywood sign) and David Tennant, who’s of course known for his Scottish background.

The Masked Singer returns Saturday at 7pm on ITV.
