WWE Hall of Famer Lita made a rare appearance on SmackDown this week and left fans stunned with her epic comeback.

The legendary star – who has appeared on Raw over the years but hadn’t grace the blue brand in almost two decades – was part of Friday’s show as she came out to comment on her upcoming Royal Rumble appearance.

She was soon interrupted by Charlotte Flair, before engaging in a verbal back and forth with the SmackDown Women’s Champion, who will also be part of the huge match on January 29.

In the end, Lita laid out the Queen with a huge Twist of Fate after teasing ‘one more run’ and suggesting she could not only win the Rumble itself, but go onto WrestleMania 38 for one more flagship bout.

Based on the social media reaction after Friday’s show, fans would be delighted to have her stick around, with plenty of viewers pointing out that the star looks to be in incredible shape.

One fan wrote: ‘The way lita hasn’t aged a day in like 30 years I truly fear her power (sic)’

Another said: ‘Lita hasn’t aged! She still looks the same.’

And a different viewer certainly thinks the star could go all the way later this month, as they tweeted: ‘Lita hasn’t aged a day. They might actually go with her for the rumble win since they’re teasing her and Charlotte hard’.

Stranger things have happened, with the news she would be in the match coming as WWE confirmed the current IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Mickie Jamie would also be part of the bout.

It seems Lita was in demand too, as Fightful Select has reported there were talks between the four-time Women’s Champion and AEW, with the company trying to bring her in for All Out in September 2021.

It’s said the plans were for her to feud with the current AEW Women’s World Champ Britt Baker, D.M.D., but the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement on a deal.

However, the reports adds that Lita – who has apparently been cleared for in-ring action for more than four years now – and the promotion remain on good terms.

WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
