WATCH: Ryan Blaney & Team Penske Pull Off An Epic Reveal of Their 2022 Car at Hurricanes-Canucks NHL Game

The NASCAR Cup Series season is steadily approaching, and that also means that the car launch season is also here. Earlier, the Carolina Hurricanes faced off against the Vancouver Canucks. Ahead of the NHL game, Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney was in attendance. He even got a chance to blow the horn for the fans before the game.

However, he and Team Penske had one last surprise for the fans. As it happened, Blaney gave the fans a sneak peak of his #12 car, and the presentation was spectacular. Using digital means to project the image of the car on the ice rink, Blaney truly made it into a show.

The car itself has a primary color scheme of black. It also boasts of a secondary color of yellow, with his #12 number highlighted in yellow as well. The team has partnered with Advanced Auto Parts as a primary sponsor. There were some suggestions that the team drew inspiration from Rusty Wallace’s #2 Penske.

Ryan Blaney will be hoping to lead the Team Penske charge

The #12 driver enjoyed a relatively decent 2021 Cup Series campaign. Although he looked quite threatening on many occasions, he missed out on a Championship 4 spot. Now, he will be aiming to try again in 2022. This year, he has a new teammate in the form of Austin Cindric, who replaces Brad Keselowski.

Without a doubt, Blaney is a talented driver, and he and Joey Logano can show Cindric the ropes. Together, the trio will try to take the fight to Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Stewart-Haas Racing. Blaney will also be keen to try and gun for a maiden Cup Series title, breaking the Hendrick-Joe Gibbs stranglehold. Logano won the team’s last title in 2018. Prior to that, the last Penske champion was Keselowski, all the way back in 2012. So, the organization definitely wants to see the silverware back with them.
