WWE legends the Hardy Boyz are getting back together this year for the first time since April 2019.

The iconic tag team – who are the only duo ever to hold the WWE/World, WCW, TNA, ROH, Raw, and SmackDown Tag Team Championships – haven’t paired up for almost three years, but that’s all set to change in March.

Matt and Jeff are set to reunite for Big Time Wrestling in their first announced match since the latter was released by WWE in December.

In a tweet, the promotion said: ‘HARDY BOYZ TEAM FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 3 YEARS! Saturday March 12th! Webster, Mass! MORE TOUR DATES TO COME! (sic)’

The two stars received one of the biggest reactions of all time when they returned at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, while Matt left the company in March 2020 when he contract expired.

He joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) a couple of weeks later, and some fans have speculated whether or not Jeff could join him in Tony Khan’s promotion.

Meanwhile, Jeff’s recent departure from WWE came days after he was sent home from touring after appearing ‘sluggish’ during a match at a recent live event.

On December 2, he appeared at show show in Edinburg, Texas as he teamed with Drew McIntyre and King Xavier Woods to take on The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns and The Usos.

As reported by PWInsider and corroborated by Fightful at the time, Jeff tagged out of the match and ‘disappeared into the crowd’, where he was followed by security, and didn’t return.

It is said the star – who has been open about his addiction battles – refused WWE’s request to go to rehab.

Matt later took to his Twitch and explained while the company did make the request, his sibling didn’t feel like he needed treatment, as he added: ‘As far as the details of what went down on that evening, and in that match, I’ve talked with Jeff, I feel good about everything he said and that’s Jeff’s story to share. And he told me he will when he’s ready to.’

Meanwhile, back in November, Jeff exclusively told Metro.co.uk he had ‘visions’ of a Hardy Boyz reunion.

He said: ‘I totally think there is [a chance of a Hardy Boyz reunion]. That’s what’s exciting about it – just being honest, will it be in WWE or AEW? I feel like there will be one more [run]. I don’t know that, but it’s like everything I’ve had visions of in wrestling, it’s always happened.’
