Inter Milan Star Tries Getting Tattoo With Deep Meaning in Greek, Gets Hilarious Other Meaning Instead

Footballers often make many fashion statements, tattoos being one of them. Many footballers have a tattoo, with even the best in the world, Lionel Messi, not shying away from getting inked. Notably, Inter Milan star, Joaquin Correa is no different.

An Argentinian himself, Correa, has several tattoos on his left arm, a full sleeve in fact. However, the most recent tattoo on his right hand has come into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. The basis of it all was the Greek language and the wrong translation.

Joaquin Correa and his Greek tattoo

Correa got the Greek word ‘free’ tattooed on his right hand, but he didn’t get the right version of the word. The word that he got tattooed, ‘δωρεάν’, literally translates to – something that has no monetary value. In reality, he wanted to get the Greek word ‘Ελεύθερος’, which means a person who is free to act on his own and is under no one’s control.

While one would think that the Inter Milan forward will be more careful while getting something permanently tattooed on his arm, he can always get it removed. Correa can also change the tattoo and overwrite, or get something else tattooed on it.

Correa and his form for Inter Milan

While his tattoos might not be the best, he has been playing well as a super-sub for his club. Correa has featured 14 times in Serie A this season and has scored four goals, adding one assist to his tally as well. He has mostly played as a substitute and has only started 7 games. Moreover, he has never finished the full 90 minutes for Inter Milan this season.

He is officially still a Lazio player and is on loan at Inter. However, the deal that the clubs agreed to has an obligation to buy after a year and Inter will get their hands on him next season. A three-year contract has already been agreed between Correa and Inter, and the Argentinian forward will enjoy his time in Milan.
