‘Have No Clue Who’s Going to Win’- Jon Jones on Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane at UFC 270
The highly anticipated heavyweight title unification bout between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane is now merely days away. Both men are arguably the most dominant fighters in the weight class, and there’s a pressing need to see who will reign supreme. Recently, former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was asked to opine on the outcome of their impending clash at UFC 270.
Right off the bat, Jones wasn’t sure how the fight would play out, given the dynamic styles of both men. However, he felt confident in the fact that the fight was sure to deliver on many different levels. Moreover, ‘Bones’ said he was looking forward to learning a lot from both the aforementioned heavyweight giants.
Really have no clue who’s going to win, I’m just excited to watch the fight. Going to learn so much about the both of them no matter how it goes down https://t.co/e59QVSiuy7

Jon Jones: A move to heavyweight on the cards?
The biggest storyline surrounding Jon Jones in recent years has been his move-up to the UFC’s heavyweight division. Having ruled over the light heavyweight division with an iron first, fans want to see him push the boundaries at heavyweight. Interestingly, Jones will more likely than not face off against the winner of Ngannou and Gane going forward.

Jones is clearly looking to absorb as much information as possible when both heavyweight titans meet inside the cage. UFC President Dana White has hinted at the fact that Jones will secure an immediate title shot at heavyweight if he so chooses to move up. His strength of schedule during his reign at light heavyweight clearly speaks for itself.
Jones has taken significant time-off from active competition in order to grow into his new physique at heavyweight. He hasn’t competed since February 2020 and is in the longest period of inactivity of his credentialed career. However, he has been staying busy and training with some elite names on the roster like Henry Cejudo.
