WhatsApp hack all iPhone owners needs to know – and it only takes seconds
WHATSAPP is a great way to chat with friends and share photos and videos – but are you doing it right?
There’s a clever iPhone feature that will help you save lots of space on your device.

Normally when you set up WhatsApp, it will auto-save media to your camera roll.
So if a friend sends you a photo or video, it will be immediately saved on your phone.
This might seem like a good idea, but if you’re a prolific WhatsApp user then it’s not so great.
The big problem is that when you have lots of chats and several group conversations, the media burden can quickly grow.
And if you’re in multiple groups for a long time, you’ll probably end up with lots of photos you never even wanted in the first place.
If you’re sick of strange memes, weird photos and boring videos clogging up your iPhone, there’s a solution.

WhatsApp has a feature that stops photos and videos from automatically being saved to your device.
When you receive media, you can tap it to unlock it.
Or you can completely ignore it if you prefer.
But it’s an easy way to free up space on your iPhone in the future.
How to stop WhatsApp from saving all media
First, make sure your WhatsApp is updated to the latest version in the App Store.
Then open WhatsApp and go into Settings.
Next choose Chats and then look for Save to Camera Roll.
That’s the setting you’ll want to toggle to Off.
This means you can still view WhatsApp images and videos – but media won’t automatically save to your camera roll.
And if you change your mind at any time, you can toggle then setting back to On.
You can also set this option for specific WhatsApp groups.
If you tap a person or group chat on WhatsApp and then go into their settings (by tapping on the name) you can change Save to Camera Roll settings there too.
So you can set an individual chat to stop storing photos – which may be a good idea if you have a particularly media-happy group.
