Reddit down worldwide: Users complain of problems accessing website and app

REDDIT went down earlier today as users from all over the world complained of issues.

Those issues seem to be resolved now according to the Reddit’s own status website.

Reddit users are complaining that they can’t access the site

Frustrated Reddit fans took to social media to complain.

It’s currently unclear why the site was having problems.

Reddit’s status page reported an incident at 3:17pm ET.

Downdetector reported problems at 3:21pm ET (8:21pm GMT).

One Reddit user tweeted at the time: “is reddit down? i can’t breathe.”

Another said: “Reddit is the most broken app. Every couple of days Reddit seems to go down. Fix your s*** Reddit.”

Another joked: “Is reddit down again, or do i spend too much time at work on it that my employer blocked it”.

Over 50% of the issues reported to Downdetector were related to the website.

Users soon started to report that the website was back online.

One wrote on Downdetector: “Its working now chill people go outside.”

Another said: “Its working for me 5 minute panic over.”

We reached out to Reddit for comment and were directed to its status page.

The incident was said to be resolved at 4:10pm ET (9:10pm GMT).
