Stunning iPhone 14 ‘revealed’ and it could make you DITCH your Samsung

A TECH fanatic has put together a stunning video showcasing what could be the design of the next iPhone.

In a YouTube video published on Wednesday, graphic designer “the Hacker 34” gave his take on the iPhone 14 Pro based on various leaks and rumours.

The handset isn’t due out until September but thanks to bits of information divulged by Apple insiders we largely know what it will look like.

The YouTuber’s imagining features a hole-punch selfie camera, lining up with strong rumours that the iPhone 14 range will be the first to ditch the notch.

The notch in Apple’s most recent iPhones houses the front-facing camera as well as the sensors for features like Face ID.

Apple is strongly rumoured to be ditching it this year in favour of the hole-punch design pioneered by rivals Samsung and Huawei.

The Hacker 34’s iPhone 14 Pro design also features the flat-edged design introduced with last year’s iPhone 13.

Apple is thought to be sticking with the design for its next line of iPhones as it seeks to move away from the curved edges sported for years by its devices.

According to the creator’s concept, the 14 Pro will come with three rear cameras and will be available in four colours.

One of those finishes will be Rose Gold – a pinkish hue first offered by Apple with 2015’s iPhone 6S.

The biggest new addition, according to the Hacker 34, will be reverse wireless charging.

That’s been featured on a number of recent Samsung and Huawei devices and allows you to charge your mate’s mobile using another Qi enabled device, without the need for a charger.

Again, a number of Apple insiders have claimed that Apple is lining the feature up for the pricier iPhones in its upcoming 14 range.

In September each year, Apple shows off a series of new iPhones.

Last year’s line-up didn’t change much from the 2020 offering.

That means 2022 is shaping up to be a blockbuster year for the iPhone.

Earlier this week, Apple expert and top analyst Jeff Pu says has detailed his expectations for the devices.

In an investor note seen by MacRumors, Pu claimed that there will be four new iPhone models.

That’s in keeping with previous years, although with a slightly different format.

Last year we had the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

This year we’re expecting the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

That means the iPhone Mini has been swapped for the iPhone Max, likely due to buyers preferring bigger screens.

All four new iPhone 14 models are expected to feature ProMotion displays.

Currently these high 120Hz refresh rate screens only appear on Pro models.

They make for smoother animations and scrolling, and are generally better for gaming.

All four models are tipped to feature 6GB of RAM, which is an increase for the lower-end iPhone models.

And the Pro handsets are expected to feature an upgraded 48-megapixel camera on the back of the device.

Finally, the iPhone 14 Pro models are tipped to start at 256GB of storage, up from 128GB.

It’s impossible to say whether Pu is correct, but several of these claims have been corroborated by world-renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

At the very least, a line-up of four iPhones, all featuring 5G and more powerful chips seems all but certain.

Of course Apple has yet to confirm any details about the iPhone 14 – even whether or not it exists.

We won’t expect to hear official word from Apple until the launch day.
