Shaquille O’Neal on Loving Dallas Cowboys Despite Repeated Heartbreaks: “When It Comes to Sports, I Like Storybook Endings.”

Dallas Cowboys lost to the 49ers in the wild card round of the playoffs, disappointing several fans around the world. Cowboys fans had high hopes for the team this time around as the two sides faced each other in the NFL playoffs for the first time since 1995. However, the result left the fans disappointed, with Shaquille O’Neal being among the most disappointed ones.

Shaq is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and has been supporting the team for a long time now. The Cowboys and 49ers have a rivalry with each other in the NFL and that’s what made this tie more special.

However, the two teams had never faced each other in the postseason since 1995. But the 49ers managed to win 23-17 in the wild card round vs the Cowboys. Shaq was so confident before the tie that he’d even made a friendly wager with Anthony Adams. Shaq lost the bet and had to turn up in a curly grey wig.

Me and @SHAQ had a bet!!! Shaq is a @dallascowboys fan and y’all know I got drafted to the @49ers!! Of course I want the Niners to beat the Cowboys. So Shaq had to wear a wig the whole podcast and sing an original song!!! @nischelleturner

Shaquille O’Neal explains his love for Dallas Cowboys

Former Lakers star Shaquille O’Neal recently appeared in the ‘Big Wig’ podcast. During the podcast, he talks about the Cowboys and the heartbreaking loss vs the 49ers. He also said that he thought the team would win and expressed his love for the team.

“I’m aching. I’m a real Cowboy fan,” Shaq said on ‘The Big Wig‘ podcast.

“I just thought, you know, that this is our year. You know, ’cause like, when it comes to sports, I like storybook endings.”

Shaq isn’t the only Cowboy fan who was disappointed after the team’s loss in the playoffs. That said, the game was breathtaking throughout and didn’t disappoint. The Niners started the first half incredibly and went 10-0 up.

The Cowboys had a better 2nd quarter as they cut the lead to 16-7. However, the Niners dominated the third quarter with 7-0 and were 23-7 up. The Cowboys could only manage to cut the lead to 23-17 before full-time.
