Mike Tyson Backs Francis Ngannou Against ‘Tough Opponent’ Ciryl Gane at UFC 270

The UFC kicks off the PPV schedule for 2022 with a heavyweight unification bout at UFC 270. Interim champion Ciryl Gane takes on Francis Ngannou. The fight is arguably one of the best stylistic matchups the UFC has ever put together in the heavyweight division.

Ngannou’s is without a doubt one of the most, if not the most, devastating knockout artists that have ever competed in the UFC. Gane, on the other hand, is a heavyweight with the footwork and movement of a lightweight.

Being calm will be the key to victory for Francis Ngannou against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270

It is no secret that Francis Ngannou is at his most dangerous in the first three rounds of a fight. Francis has gone the distance only twice in his UFC career and has lost both fights. Ngannou is not necessarily known for his cardio and therefore will have to play it smart as he did against Miocic. Gane has gone the distance multiple times in his UFC career and has not faded away as the fight progressed.

Under the tutelage of Eric Nicksick, Ngannou has shown considerable improvement in his temperament. It was his temperament that ultimately won him the belt against Miocic. Gane has to be perfect for 25 minutes. ‘The Predator’ needs just one shot to get the job done. Therefore, it is extremely critical that Ngannou preserve his energy and only fully deploy it when he absolutely feels the need for it. Having the likes of Kamaru Usman and Eric Nicksick in his corner will definitely play an important role in how Ngannou approaches this fight.
