Office Star Brian Baumgartner Celebrates in Style at the LPGA Celebrity Tournament of Champions

The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions was recently underway in Orlando, Florida. And while the professionals are still in play, the pro-am was just as exciting. Moreover, teeing it up, there was none other than actor and avid golfer Brian Baumgartner.

Baumgartner is an American actor, director, and author. He is most famed for his role as Kevin Malone in the NBC sitcom, ‘The Office’. Other than this, he is an accomplished golfer and even features on Golf Digest’s list of Hollywood’s top 100 golfers. At the concluded pro-am, however, the single-digit handicapped golfer finished 46th on the leaderboard.

Brian Baumgartner shows off his golf skills

Reposting a video by the official LPGA tour channel, Golf Digest shared a video of the avid golfer hitting his last shot of the tournament. On the par-4 18th hole, he is a couple of feet from the hole as he approaches the shot for par. As he swings the club and the ball rolls forward, we can anticipate it draining into the hole. Alongside the clip, they wrote, @BBBaumgartner with the putt and fist pump for good measure.”

A couple of years ago, Baumgartner admitted what he feels about golf. Talking about how different it was from being ‘stuck’ in a room all day, he said, “Golf was an outlet to get outside. I probably have a little bit of inner competitive nature, as well.”

However, talking about how Michael Jordan aims to play 36 holes a day, he added that it doesn’t bother him to play only 18. He said, “That’s not me. I love it, but I still have a job to do.” And even though he thinks golf is a ‘magical’ thing, here is what he thinks about playing in a tournament. “Playing in front of people with a little bit of pressure, it will be interesting. Every round I go out there, I’m trying to shoot in the 70s. Maybe I’ll temper my expectations and try to shoot in the 80s.”
